In what way does your media product use, develop or challenge the forms and conventions of real media products?

Throughout our products we used an number of forms and conventions from the real products, we learnt a number of different techniques to create the best possible video we could. We used a number of different shots in our video to continue the flow in the video and maintain the audiences interest. The video its self was also very similar off those in the same music bracket, the use of a male and female actor to represent the duet set in a location and setting that people could relate to. We had our actors lip sync to the song which we did found hard to equal out to the chosen track; There are some parts in the video where you can tell the song didn't match in time to the lip sync, there were various reasons for this in some parts the actors had sung slightly faster than the track, and also because it was the first time we had used the FinalCut Pro software and found it hard to match it up exactly because were not familiar with the way it works.
Similarly in the ancillary products we have stuck to the conventions of other products. We have used the same actors in the same location wearing the same clothes so we have cross media advertised between the video, advertising and digipak. To create these products we used Photoshop CS4 to edit and make the products; we found this useful as we had all the tools we needed to create a professional product.
